TikTok Shopping brings organic product discovery and shopping tabs to TikTok, allowing content creators and Shopify merchants to develop deeper relationships with consumers.
Shopify + TikTok: What you need to know
For Shopify merchants, social commerce is one of the fastest-growing channels, especially as more artists rely on these platforms to expand their companies. Shopify recently unveiled TikTok Shopping, a new method for entrepreneurs to connect customers, in collaboration with TikTok.
Shopify merchants with a TikTok For Business account will be able to add a shopping tab to their TikTok profiles and sync their product catalogues to create a mini-storefront that links straight to their online store for checkout for the first time.
Shopify and TikTok have also teamed up to provide Shopify merchants with product URLs that can be used to tag items in organic TikTok postings. The TikTok community may shop directly from a merchant’s storefront or click a tagged product in a merchant’s TikTok video to be directed to the merchant’s online store for checkout.
With hundreds of millions of active users, TikTok is one of the world’s fastest-growing entertainment platforms and installs across Shopify’s social commerce channels surged by 76% from February 2020 to February 2021.
Shopify retailers in the United States and the United Kingdom may participate in the TikTok Shopping pilot right now.
